DV 2009 winners Will Need Sponsors.

DV 2009 Lottery winners who received the letter notification from the KCC can proceed further if they meet the eligibility. Those who will be issued with visas for the green card must proof their eligibility at the time of the interview. This year winners must get a Affidavit of Support from a person who must be a citizen or LPR, according to the rules. The affidavit of support must be submitted by the person in USA directly and the DV Lottery 2009 winner must provide a copy of it when he go for the interview after receiving the second letter.

Interviews will be held according to the case numbers.

This is procedure is to prevent the Diversity Visa winners from becoming a public charge. According to USICS"an alien can be removed from the United States if he or she becomes a public charge within five years of entering the United States from causes that existed before entry."

This what the instructions says to you, "If you are selected to apply for a DV visa, before you can be issued a visa, you will be required to provide evidence that you will not become a public charge in the U.S. This evidence may be in the form of a combination of your personal assets, an Affidavit of Support, Form I-134 from a relative or friend residing in the U.S. and/or an offer of employment from an employer in the U.S."

Visa fees related with the DV Lottery (Visa fees should be paid only to the Embassy or consulate on the date of interview personally by the applicant.)
