DV 2009 Winner

DV lottery 2009 winners will get the notification only by regular postal between May - July 2008.
If you get winning announcement by E-mail or Fax or phone don't trust them, double check it.
Winning the DV Lottery doesn’t guarantee you a visa to the USA, but it will allow you to apply for it.
You must pay a non-refundable visa fee and diversity processing fee of US$ 755 for you and each eligible person in your entry when you are going for the interview at the Embassy.
For any reason if your visa is refused the fee will not be refunded.

If you don't have the required eligibility qualification, don't proceed with the program.
At the time of the online application you were married and didn't enter your spouse and children and you want to add them now, you have broken one of the strict law, you will not be issued with the visas.
After applying the online entry if you were married or had a child you must include them, keep all the documents ready to provide at the time of the interview to prove them.

To issue 50,000 LPR Visas nearly 100,000 people will be notified as winners.
If you are eligible they will call you for the interview from 1st of October 2008 according to your case number.
Visas will be issued till 30th September 2009, after this date the DV 2009 program will close and no visas will be issued or change of status will not be allowed for the program.

Winners who are staying legally in USA may apply to the USICS for adjustment of status.

Winning a case number out of 6,500,000 entrants is a real lucky thing. So if you don't know how to proceed further, get assistance from good law firms or visa consultants.
But don't believe anyone who say that they have contact with the authorities or consulates.
No one can improve the chance of you for getting you a visa.

YOU WILL PAY YOUR VISA FEES PERSONALLY, ONLY ON THE DATE OF INTERVIEW TO THE EMBASSY OR CONSULATE AND GET THE OFFICIAL RECEIPT.
DON'T SEND MONEY BY BANKS OR OTHER MEANS.

Diversity Visa Lottery surcharge $375.00
Immigrant visa security surcharge : $45.00
Total: US$ 755 if you are single you pay this amount.
Say if you have a wife and 2 children then you must pay for 4 persons. (4x 755 = US$ 3020)
Additionally you will pay for medical checkups which must be carried out at the specially selected medical officers by the Embassy.
Contact the Embassy to get the appointed medical person's office addresses.

It is compulsory for you to have a sponsor from USA and that person must be a legal permanent resident or a citizen. In USA the sponsor may go to a USICS office and can submit the I-134 Affidavit of support form.
